Domaine Charton has been cultivating vines in Bourgogne, specifically in Mercurey, since 1941. Now led by third-generation winemaker Vincent, who works alongside his father and longtime steward Jean-Pierre, the family manages nearly 12 hectares of vineyards exclusively within the Mercurey appellation in the Cote Chalonnaise. Located at an altitude of 230 – 320 meters, the village is renowned for its unique limestone and gravelly soils, which contribute to the bright, expressive fruit character of the wines.

This single-vineyard Bourgogne wine comes from lower slopes of the hillside, made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from 60-year-old vines. The fruit is hand-harvested and sorted before undergoing a warm 22-day fermentation, followed by 12 months of maturation in French oak barrels, 15% of which are new.
