The Art Series Chardonnay from Leeuwin Estate is widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest white wines. Produced only in exceptional vintages, it showcases the perfect synergy between power and precision. On the nose, it bursts with aromas of white peach, lemon curd, grapefruit, and toasted hazelnuts, layered with flinty complexity and hints of brioche. The palate is rich yet taut, displaying vibrant acidity, creamy lees texture, and an elegant oak framework that never overwhelms. A wine of great structure, finesse, and age-worthiness.
Harvested from mature, low-yielding vineyards in Margaret River, the fruit undergoes whole-bunch pressing, wild fermentation in French oak barrels (40% new), and 11 months aging on lees with regular bâtonnage. This meticulous process adds layers of depth and complexity, resulting in a Chardonnay that balances opulence with clarity and minerality with restraint.
